Alternative ways to create tables. These use the "tables" tag, instead of the default "table" (note the extra "s" for our new method.)

VSV (Versatile Separated Values) is my own creation and proposal for a simple way to create lists and tables in any plaintext file, yet easily converted into HTML code for websites (via dedicated plugins for specific forum or content frameworks; e.g. SMF forums and WordPress blogs).

Traditionally only commas, tabs, and spaces were allowed to be delimiters. However, in VSV, any character can be used as delimiters. The delimiter of each line is the first nonspace character at the beginning of that line. (Learn more about VSV)

Keyboards and Other Interfaces / Re: Molengo
« on: November 12, 2016, 03:52:31 PM »

Um, is there a particular reason why "code" renders in Molengo font? It's not very readable, especially given the font size and unusual digits.

Oddly I was on this site on my phone earlier today and IIRC it rendered in something Courier or Mono, which was much more readable.

I see it looks better in Chrome than in Firefox.

Thanks, Ian

(yeah it's been bothering me for a long time... eventually I was motivated to ask.)

What, complaining about Molengo is blasphemy.

Anyway I set code to use Source Code Pro font.

BEAKL Opted34 Kinesis is missing a question mark.

question mark should be shift-3

Can you perhaps test Alice with MTGap, QWERTY and Arensito? I've attached a fixed version of Arensito, the one Patrick has is missing two characters.
Should be .json not .txt, but forum does not allow .json attachments.

I added ability to attach .json files. See attachment.

When I set up his layout I noticed that ZXCV was not there, which I thought odd since he mentions it as a requirement on his blog.

His earlier layout "Rockstar" has this requirement. It's gone with Halmak.

These were the most recent updates to my site. I uploaded some .AHK (autohotkey) scripts that remaps keyboard into BEAKL into the same directory as the effort grid image. I also uploaded some images into a different directory. Some APK files for my Android games (the same files you can find on Google play store).

The google dashboard doesn't provide any URLs for me to check or verify which are bad files.

I just came up with a new term: mock fight. Mock fights happen between two creature cards even if they're not on the battlefield. The results are determined by the winners or losers. Think of it as alternative to clash or flipping coins.

Reveal a creature card in your hand. It mock fights target creature spell. If that creature spell loses the mock fight, counter that spell. If your revealed creature card loses the mock fight, discard it. (A creature loses a mock fight if its toughness is equal or less than the other creature's power. Both creatures can lose in a single mock fight.)

Tech Support / [USERJS] Disable 'leave page' events in browsers
« on: July 14, 2014, 07:51:14 PM »
Some websites bring up an annoying pop up when you try to leave their page. Some browsers ignore that. For Firefox, they provide no solution nor option to disable this security hole. These are usually triggered by crafty websites using the scripting event OnBeforeUnload.

So here is the userscript that you can add to Greasemonkey.

You can also use the code. (Source from, modified by me)

Code: [Select]
// ==UserScript==
// @name Disable onBeforeUnload
// @namespace
// ==/UserScript==

location.href = "javascript:(" + function() {
  window.onbeforeunload = null;
  window.onunload = null;
} + ")()";

Tech Support / [HOWTO] Type Cantonese Jyutping on Windows
« on: July 08, 2014, 01:03:30 AM »
To install the Cantonese Jyutping for your input keyboard, download this Microsoft Office patch. You want the zh-tw version. Then in keyboard settings, choose Chinese (Traditional, Taiwan), then Hong Kong Cantonese.

You can learn more about Jyutping at Wikipedia or just google it.

701.2. Activate

701.2a To activate an activated ability is to put it onto the stack and pay its costs, so that it will eventually resolve and have its effect. Only an object's controller (or its owner, if it doesn't have a controller) can activate its activated ability unless the object specifically says otherwise. A player may activate an ability if he or she has priority. See rule 602, "Activating Activated Abilities."
